According to a recent survey, 61% of the educators surveyed have joined one or more social networking websites. Facebook is current the number one site joined (85%), but most educators are rarely using it. The survey asked about other sites including MySpace, LinkedIn, and a number of other sites for teachers. Educators who responded express the desire to separate their personal and professional lives. Looking ahead, educators prefer the idea of joining a site dedicated to education.
